How to setup a connection to OSCommerce

In order to connect Zed Axis EDI module to an OSCommerce web store you need to create a new trading partner for the OSCommerce store.  Follow these steps:
  1. Make sure the machine you are on has access to the internet and that you are connected to your MYOB or QuickBooks company file
  2. Select the Zed Axis EDI tab and click on the Trading Partner button.
  3. In the Trading Partner Address Book click on Add to create a new Trading Partner
  4. You will need to enter the following information
    1. Trading Partner Name : This is the name that you choose to identify the OSCommerce Web Store in Zed Axis
    2. Mail Protocol: Select from the drop down list OSCommerce
    3. OSCommerce Web Store URL: Enter the IP address or the URL where you OSCommerce database is located
    4. Port No: Enter the port number that you can access the database via (using 3306 or 3307)
    5. OSCommerce database username: Enter the username that you use to access the OSCommerce database (MySQL)
    6. OSCommerce database password: Enter the password that you use to access the OSCommerce database (MySQL)
    7. Database Name: Enter the name of the OSCommerce database (MySQL)
    8. Select Shipping Item: Select the item in QuickBooks or MYOB you want to use for shipping charges
    9. Use SSH Tunnel: If you need or are required to use SSH to connect to your database please check this box
    10. SSH Hostname/ IP Address: Enter the IP address of the SSH gateway
    11. SSH Port No: Enter the SSH port number usually this is 22
    12. SSH Username: Enter the username you use to access the SSH server
    13. SSH Password: Enter the password you use to access the SSH server
    14. Select Last Updated Date: Enter the date that you would like to retrieve transactions for.
  5. Once all the details are entered in click on the Test Connection button, make sure you are connected to the internet, if you are able to connect successfully then click save, otherwise check the setting you are using are correct.
  6. Back in the main EDI screen when you click on Send/Receive you should now see Axis connect to rthe OSCommerce webstore and download orders into the Inbox.
