The mapping feature in Zed Axis lets you decide where the fields in your import file will appear in QuickBooks once they are imported. To start mapping you need to be connected to QuickBooks and have selected the file that you want to import into QuickBooks. Then by clicking on the mapping button the screen below will open.
Follow these steps to create a mapping:
Choose the type of transaction you are importing into QuickBooks from the Transaction Type drop down list
On the left hand side of the screen you will see all the available fields in QuickBooks you can import into. On the right hand side of the screen you have a drop down list adjacent to each QuickBooks field that allows you to select which column you want to import. You do not have to map all fields but there are mandatory fields that must be mapped in order to import into QuickBooks, Axis will verify that you have those mapped before you complete the mapping.
You can select a Filter to view just the fields you have mapped.
Once you have completed your mapping you can save them so that subsequent imports you just need to select the mapping from the list.
