How to import Project lists into QuickBooks Online

Overview of how to import Project Lists

In QuickBooks Online, project lists are used to track specific jobs or tasks undertaken on behalf of a customer. Projects can be used to track income and costs to determine the profitability of work completed. If you have a large number of projects to add to QuickBooks Online from a text or Excel file, you can use Axis Online to import them in batch.

Steps to import project lists in batch into QuickBooks Online

  1. Login to your Axis Online account and click the button to Create a new Axe
  2. Give a name to the Axis and in Step One click the button to Upload a File that contains the list of Projects and then Save.
  3. In Step Two select the File Upload action and then in QuickBooks create a Project List and click next
  4. In Step Three map the fields in QuickBooks against the columns in your import file Save your mapping and click Next
  5. In Step Four finally review and validate the data you have mapped and click Import to import the Project List directly into your QuickBooks Online company file
