Error "Number Format Exception: For input string "

Occurs: When importing transaction data into QuickBooks the import fails and the following error message is returned "System Failure Error:java.lang.NumberFormatException. For input string: " "

 

Cause: One of the fields typically a Price or Amount  that you have mapped and are attempting to import into QuickBooks is not in the correct format that QuickBooks will accept.  For example you may be importing a dollar amount and the dollar symbol ie $ is included in the data, or your data contains and empty value when QuickBooks will only accept a non-empty value like true or false etc...

Resolution:  Review you data to see what cells may contain the unsupported values or empty value and then correct that and retry the import, or alternatively unmap the field that is causing the issue
