Import Payroll Item lists into QuickBooks desktop

Overview

In QuickBooks desktop a Payroll Item list is used to record the type of payment or deductions made to employees like Salary, Hourly wages, commissions, bonuses, deductions etc used on payslips.  Zed Axis is able to import Payroll item lists directly into QuickBooks desktop from Excel or text files in batch,

Steps to import payroll item lists into QuickBooks desktop

Follow these steps:
  1. Open Zed Axis and connect to the QuickBooks desktop company you want to import into.
  2. Click on the Import tab and then browse to the Excel or text file that contains the payroll item list
  3. In the mapping section select the option to create a new mapping and then using the drop down list selections map the column in your import file to the corresponding fields in QuickBooks desktop.
  4. Click the import button and Axis will import the payroll item list into QuickBooks desktop.

QuickBooks field Type Description 
Name Str 31 MANDATORY - The name of the payroll item, as appears in QuickBooks
Is Active Bool Whether the payroll item name is active or not (true or false).
Wage Type Enum Mandatory - The type of pay - (values - Bonus, Commission, HourlyOvertime, HourlyRegular, HourlySick, HourlyVacation, SalaryRegular, SalarySick, SalaryVacation
Expense Account Full Name Str Mandatory - The full name of the expense account
