Overview of how to import class lists into QuickBooks Online

QuickBooks Online uses classes to categorize transactions to help business gain better insight into their business and performance, this is typically to record divisions, locations, departments etc... within a business.  With Zed Axis you can import class lists into QuickBooks Online from text, Excel and IIF files in batch making it much easier to setup complex class list that may have a multi tiered structure or what QuickBooks refers to a Parents using a colon separator ie   West Coast:California:Mountain View

Steps to import classes into QuickBooks Online using Zed Axis


  1. Open Zed Axis and connect to your QuickBooks Online company file
  2. In the import tab click Browse and select the file that contains the Class list that you want to upload into QuickBooks Online
  3. Add a new mapping to map the QuickBooks fields to the columns in your import file
  4. Click Import and Axis will import in batch the class list into QuickBooks Online company file
