Import discounts on invoices and sales transactions

It is possible to import discounts on invoices and sales into QuickBooks Online using Zed Axis, that are shown at the subtotal of footer section as shown below.  QuickBooks Online permits you to import a dollar amount as a discount or a percentage discount of the transaction subtotal.  You can decide which method you prefer and then map the correct fields to achieve that discount.

Method 1: Discount by a dollar amount
 
Please make sure that you map the fields: 
  • LineDiscountAmount - set that as the dollar amount discount you apply to the sale
  • LineDiscountAccountRefFullName - set that as the full name of the Chart of Accounts account that is in QuickBooks online that you would like to assign the discounts too, that can be set as a constant
 
Method 2: Discount by a percentage of the subtotal
 
Please map the following combination of fields:
  • LineDiscountPercentBased - set that to the value of true
  • LineDiscountPercent - map that to the column that contains the percent discount
  • LineDiscountAccountRefFullName - set that as the full name of the Chart of Accounts account that is in QuickBooks online that you would like to assign the discounts too (ie Discounts given), that can be set as a constant
