How to import barcodes into QuickBooks

It is possible in the Advanced Inventory feature of QuickBooks Enterprise to import barcodes on items into QuickBooks using Zed Axis.  You must have the Advanced Inventory switched on and the option Enable Barcode Scanning selected. When importing the barcode number into QuickBooks the number must be unique for each item you have in your item list, and the barcode must not exceed 50 characters and must not be less than 6 characters.
 

 

At the time of writing this article Intuit had not implemented all these items but we expect them to be rolled out in upcoming releases.

Item Non Inventory
Item Other Charge
Item Inventory
Item Fixed Asset
Item Discount
Item Payment
Item Inventory Assembly
