Import lot numbers into QuickBooks

It is possible in the Advanced Inventory part of QuickBooks Enterprise to import lot numbers on items into QuickBooks using Zed Axis. In order to import lot numbers you need to have Lot numbers enabled in the QuickBooks company preferences under the Advanced Inventory Settings.

Lot numbers can be imported on the following transactions types:

Item Receipts
Checks
Vendor credits
Credit Card Charge
Sales Orders
Invoice
Credit Memo
Inventory Adjustment

When importing lot numbers it is important to consider the following:

You can only enter one lot number per line, if you need to have multiple lots you will need to import multiple lines
New lot numbers can only be imported on transaction types that receipt items into inventory in QuickBooks, so this is Item Receipts, Checks and Credit Card Charges
Existing lot numbers can only be imported on transaction types that draw down items from inventory in QuickBooks, so this is Sales Orders, Invoices, Credit Memos and Inventory Adjustments
