Zed Axis software end user license

Answers to common questions about the Zed Axis software.

We offer fully functional trials of Zed Axis desktop software.  It can be trialed for a period of 30 days from the date that the software is first installed, when your trial expires you can continue to use the software by purchasing a license on our website using a credit card, the maps and settings that were setup in the trial will be available in the fully licensed version.  You are only permitted one trial period should you reinstall on the same PC then the trial will automatically expire and you will need to purchase a license to continue to use the software.

Should you need to extend the trial period then contact Sales Support,  it is the sole discretion of the sales support rep to grant an extension of the trial  

Zed Axis software is sold as a subscription license which means when you purchase a license to access the software for a 12 month period. Your license will automatically renew for a another 12 month period unless you notify us prior to the renewal date.

The license permits you to install the software on two machine, if you want to install the software on more than two machines you need to purchase a license for each machine you want to concurrently use the software on. We do offer discounts for purchasing two or more licenses at one time please raise a ticket with Zed Sales support tell us how many license and what version of Zed Axis you require and we can give you a quote.

We permit you to move the license to another machine, please follow the steps in this article. You can transfer your maps to the new machine by following these instructions. Once you have successfully moved the license to the new primary machine please uninstall Zed Axis from the old machine

We permit you to re-install the software in case of hardware failure or if you have to re-install the operating system. Follow these steps.

We do permit a second installation of Zed Axis in case of hardware failure so installing on a laptop or secondary PC is permitted as a backup mechanism.

If you decide after purchasing Zed Axis that you would like to return it and get a refund, we will provide you a full refund for the cost of the software license if you raise a ticket with Zed Sales Support within 60 days of the purchase quoting the license key serial number.  In order to process the refund we will need you to first deactivate the software on all the machines that you have installed it on, and then send by reply to the support ticket the deactivation codes.

End User License Agreement

By using the Zed Axis software (“the Software”) of Zed Systems (ABN 81 606 677 687) ("Zed Systems"); you agree to the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree with such terms and conditions; do not use the Software.

License

Zed-Systems grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited licence to use the Software on the terms of this Licence. You have purchased a single user annual Subscription licence which permits you to install the Software on two computers only, if the Software is to be installed on more than two computers you should purchase additional licences for each additional person or computer.   The Subscription refers to the payment of fees on an annual basis for a license to access and use the Software and any included Services. When your Subscription terminates or lapses, you will lose your license to use the Software. 

Copyright

Zed Systems is the owner of the copyright in the Software and retains ownership of the copyright and all other intellectual property rights in the Software and is protected by copyright law and international copyright treaty.  You must not rely upon the Software for any purpose or in any manner for which the software is not warranted.  You must not copy, reproduce, translate, adapt, vary, merge or modify or create any derivative work base on the Software.  You must not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, reconfigure, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the Software; or sell market, network, transfer, lease, license, sub-license, rent, lend or otherwise dispose of or distribute the Software.

Term

This License is effective only for the period of the Subscription, when the subscription is terminated, expires or when Zed Systems decides to discontinue the Software, the Software shall be disabled on your computer and Support will be discontinued or terminated. You may terminate it at any time by destroying the Software, together with all copies thereof. This License will also terminate if you fail to comply with any term or condition of this Agreement. Upon such termination, Zed Systems has the right to deactivate your software and you agree to destroy the Software, together with all copies thereof.

Product Activation and Verification

You must verify your license details by online registration via the Internet.

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES: YOU AGREE THAT ZED SYSTEMS HAS MADE NO EXPRESS WARRANTIES TO YOU REGARDING THE SOFTWARE AND THAT THE SOFTWARE IS BEING PROVIDED TO YOU "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. ZED SYSTEMS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES WITH REGARD TO THE SOFTWARE; EXPRESS OR IMPLIED; INCLUDING; WITHOUT LIMITATION; ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE; MERCHANTABILITY; MERCHANTABLE QUALITY OR NONINFRINGEMENT OF THIRD PARTY RIGHTS.

LIMIT OF LIABILITY: IN NO EVENT WILL ZED SYSTEMS OR BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY LOSS OF USE; INTERRUPTION OF BUSINESS; OR ANY DIRECT; INDIRECT; SPECIAL; INCIDENTAL; OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND (INCLUDING LOST PROFITS) REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF ACTION WHETHER IN CONTRACT; TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE); STRICT PRODUCT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE; EVEN IF ZED SYSTEMS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
