Overview of Importing inventory transfers

In QuickBooks Enterprise inventory transfer transactions are used to record the movement of inventory items from one warehouse (Inventory location) to another warehouse. With Zed Axis you can import inventory transfers into QuickBooks Enterprise 11 and up from text files or Excel spreadsheets. You must have the inventory site feature enabled in your QuickBooks Enterprise company file.

Steps to import inventory transfers

Follow these steps:

Download and install the Zed Axis software on your computer
Open your QuickBooks Enterprise company file as Administrator and open Zed Axis
Select your text file or spreadsheet which contains the inventory transfers that you want to import.
Set up the a Mapping of the columns in your inventory transfer import file to the corresponding fields in QuickBooks, as shown below
Click Import and your inventory transfers will be directly added to your QuickBooks company file.

Troubleshooting common errors:

Error: You must assign a location to every line item with an inventory or assembly item. This error occurs because the fields for FromInventorySiteLocation or ToInventorySiteLocation have not been mapped or the location is not found, QuickBooks requires these fields for an Inventory transfer if site and bin location tracking are switched on in the Inventory preferences.

this is very outdated.. no bins

Bins are named as InventorySiteLocations but they may not yet be implemented in the QuickBooks API yet so it may not appear
