Error connecting to Reckon Accounts

Occurs: When trying to connect Zed Axis to Reckon Accounts(previously branded as QuickBooks Australia or New Zealand) 
 
Cause: Due to a change made by Reckon to the Reckon Accounts application now run as at Administrator level Zed Axis is unable to connect.
 
Resolution:  Create a new short cut icon to the Reckon Accounts executable that runs at a normal user level, to do that follow these steps:
 
  1. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the following file C:\Program Files (x86)\Intuit\ReckonAccounts 2013\QBW32.EXE (note replace the ReckonAccount 2013 with the respective year for the release you have.)
  2. Right click on the QBW32.EXE file and select the option to Create Shortcut and place that on the desktop.
  3. Go to the new shortcut on the Desktop and right click and Rename it Reckon Accounts for Axis
  4. Now double click on the short cut icon to open Reckon Accounts and then open Zed Axis and attempt to connect.
 
Note the only limitation that we are aware of not running Reckon Accounts at Administrator level is you may loose the ability to email transactions.
